Dr. Marcou graduated from medical school in Athens, Greece, and completed his urology residency in Germany, obtaining board certification in 2014. He subsequently worked in major German urological centres as an adult urologist until 2019. Since then, he has focused almost exclusively on pediatric urology — initially at the University Hospital Erlangen, where he was involved in pediatric kidney transplantation, and currently as Senior Consultant in Regensburg (ERN eUROGEN centre). His clinical and academic interests include congenital urogenital malformations, pediatric endourology, and long-term functional outcomes.
