Dr. Vasileios Tatanis was born in Piraeus in 1989. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens in 2013. He completed the residency in Urology at the 1st Urology Department of the University of Athens at Laiko Hospital in 2019 and has been a doctoral graduate of the Medical School of the University of Athens since 2024. After completing his specialty in Urology, he underwent further training in Pediatric Urology at the Pediatric Urology Department of Hacettepe University in Ankara. His training covered the full range of pediatric urological conditions. He served as a scientific collaborator at the Urology Clinic of the University of Patras until 2023. He has authored over 55 scientific articles in foreign-language journals and chapters in international books. Since 2022, he has been a board member of the Patients’ Office of the Hellenic Urological Association and, since 2023, a board member of the Pediatric Urology section of the Hellenic Urological Association. In addition, he is a member of the Young Academic Urologists (YAU) of the European Association of Urology (EAU), in the department responsible for pediatric urology and an associate member of the European Working Group on Pediatric Urology (EWPU) of the European Association of Urology (EAU). Since 2024, he has been a Deputy Director (B’) of the Urology Clinic at the University of Patras and is responsible for its pediatric urology department.
