Prof. Dr. Guy Bogaert is a pediatric urologist trained in Belgium, Germany, and at UCSF (San Francisco), where his work received multiple awards. He became the first full-time pediatric urologist at UZ Leuven (Belgium) introducing innovative care pathways and co-founding the hospital’s pioneering surgical day center. He played a leading role in developing pediatric urology training in Europe (ESPU & EBPU). Prof. Bogaert has participated in several surgical missions to Eritrea. He has collaborated closely with general practitioners for over 25 years in Leuven. He currently chairs the medical council of the MCH in Leuven, he is treasurer of the EBU and is the chairman of the EAU-ESPU guidelines for pediatric urology.
